Hey Friends,

I would call myself a sports fan, I don’t dictate my calendar around events but I do like the hype that surrounds a Game 7. Sports have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember…..I was a college athlete, early in my career I worked in collegiate and olympic athletics, and I’m currently trying to figure out some aspect of a golf game.

But now, the lines between sport, leisure and influence are becoming extremely blurred. The sporting goods industry, once defined by seasonal product drops and team-based fanfare, has transformed into a dynamic intersection of wellness, fashion, tech, and culture. While the post-pandemic boom led to record-breaking growth, today’s landscape is more complex—shaped by shifting consumer behavior, geopolitical turbulence, and intense competition. As we look ahead to the back half of 2025 and beyond, here are the forces reshaping the future of the sporting goods market.
