Back-to-school season is among us. This time of year always begins to feel a little nostalgic. We had a taste of fall weather a few weeks back, but now the summer is leaving it’s final mark on us. As summer winds down, retailers are shifting focus from sun-soaked escapes to back-to-routine essentials. The transition brings both challenges and opportunities, from clearing seasonal shelves to capturing early holiday momentum. This means that we must clear our heads from the summer hangover and refocus for the fall.
Today we look at the US retail sales figures from July, dig into my own personal retail experiences, and take a deeper look into Dairy Boy’s latest SoHo pop-up and what it means for retail.
